1-Day Olympus Summit – Easy Trail

A more accessible Mount Olympus summit hike to Mytikas (2,918 m) in one day

Minimal hiking · Maximum alpine experience · Certified local guides

Easy Olympus summit hike with a 4×4 transfer via dirt road to Chrystakis Refuge, followed by a guided hike and scrambling sections to the summit.

Trip Overview

This is the fastest way to reach Mytikas (2,918 m) in a single day – no overnight stay at a mountain refuge and no two-day schedule.

With 4×4 access to Christakis Refuge (approx. 2,400–2,550 m), you start higher and reduce the time and effort required compared to classic routes. This makes the Easy Trail an excellent choice for fit beginners or travelers with limited time who still want a true Mount Olympus summit experience.

The final section to Mytikas includes scrambling and exposure, so guiding focuses on safe movement and decision-making where it matters most. Route and summit choice (Mytikas or Skolio) depend on conditions and group ability.

This experience is for you if…

You want to reach Mytikas (2,918 m) in one day, without an overnight stay at a refuge.

You have limited time and prefer a shorter approach thanks to 4×4 access to the high trailhead.

You are a fit beginner or intermediate hiker and want a guided summit attempt with clear structure.

You can hike steadily at altitude and follow the guide’s pacing and safety instructions.

You understand that the final section involves scrambling and exposure, and you feel comfortable with that.

You want to rely on a certified local guide and proper safety equipment to manage the final, exposed section to the summit.

Not for you if…

You want a beginner sightseeing walk with no exposure or hands-on scrambling.

You feel uncomfortable with heights, narrow rocky terrain, or steep drop-offs.

You expect a guaranteed Mytikas summit regardless of conditions (weather and route decisions apply).

You are dealing with a recent injury or condition that could be aggravated by steep, rocky movement and descent.

The Experience

One-Day Summit, No Refuge Night
Reach the top of Mount Olympus in a single day, without the logistics of a two-day itinerary and an overnight stay at a mountain refuge.
High Start, Less Approach Time
4×4 access to Christakis Refuge brings you straight into the alpine zone, reducing hiking time and letting you focus on the summit effort.
Guided Safety on Exposed Terrain
From Skala to Mytikas, your guide manages pacing, route choice, and safe movement on scrambling sections, using helmet/harness/rope when conditions require it.
A Real Olympus Summit Experience
Even with a shorter approach, you still move through true high-mountain terrain—big views, rocky ridgelines, and the full sense of reaching Mytikas.
